Bio-Balls



This loose plastic media will form to any shape and is hard so it will not compact. Ideal for deep applications where compaction is a concern. Bio-Balls are buoyant so trickle filter applications are best. Bio-Balls are 1-1/2" in diameter. One gallon size container is ideal for replacement media in small underwater filters.

Bio-Blox



Bio-Blox filter media is an ultra high surface area media that is created from a variety of different filter thicknesses and densities. Bio-Blox is a loose fill media that is inexpensive and ideal for filling large filters. Use our MB18 or MB22 Mesh Bags to hold Bio-Blox for easy handling. Approximately 525 sq. ft. of surface area per cu. ft.

EasyPro Fish Floss Filter Media



Fish Floss Filter Media is ribbon type material commonly used in our AquaFalls pond filters in place of lava rock. Pond owners have found that Fish Floss is better than lava rock since lava rock is high in mineral content and is very heavy. Fish Floss is a flat strapping that is embossed on both sides creating additional surface area for bacteria. Fish Floss Media is lightweight, will last indefinitely and has no effect on water quality.

EasyPro Ultra Bio-Media



Ultra Bio-Media is a sinking media with a very high biofilm surface that is many times greater than other plastic media, such as bio balls, various mats and foams, beads, ribbon & brush type media, etc. Superior bacterial adhesion and colonization is achieved duty to the surface texture and grade of plastic used. Under a patent pending process, Ultra Bio-Media is seeded with bacteria and barley to kick start the nitrification process and to contribute to the control of string algae. Premier choice for any biological application.
Approximately 500 sq. ft. surface area per cu. ft.! Ultra Bio-Media weighs approx. 8# per cu. ft. Media is sold and packaged by weight. Settling may occur in shipping. Ultra Bio-Media can be purchased by the cu. ft. or bulk packed in 28 cu. ft. Gaylord boxes.

EasyPro PVC Ribbon Media

This PVC ribbon material has a high surface area and provides an ideal medium for beneficial bacteria to colonize on. The ribbon is packaged in a mesh net for easy handling and is very soft allowing it to form to any shape container. Easy to clean media will last for many years!

250 and 500 filters have three foam pads for solids removal.

Includes lid o-ring, outlet head o-ring, quartz sleeve o-ring and electrical assembly gasket. Filters without UV use the same kits but will not use the sleeve o-ring or electrical assembly gasket.

UV Quartz Sleeves
As with the foam filters, pre-2002 UV's have a different model quartz sleve than current models.
